Genesis to Revelation: Mobile Phone
Technology
The
Motorola Company invented their first phone in 1973. The purpose of the phone
was mainly to make calls. The purpose of the phone in making calls never
changed for four decades. Currently, the mobile phone has diversified purposes,
functions and operations. The tremendous innovations on phones have led to
improved utilization of phones. The mobile devices have experience evolution
over time leading to great and significance operations in communication. The
first mobile based device gets embedded in the automotive system. The mobile
based system was referred to as the Radio Common Carrier (RCC) (Baker, et al…
(2006).
The RCC has the function to transmit voice communication through the
technology called the push to talk systems. The RCC technology got improved
through the brick phone that was having the Light Emitting Diode (LED) screen
(Steinbock, 2005). The Brick phone was easily portable and could get easily
carried. The brick phone got designed for human use to in making calls. The
Brick phone supported 30 minutes talks.
The
Motorola Company manufactured another type of phone with diversified equipment,
functionalities and properties. The clamshell phone has the capability of
compatibility through folding to a compact size of a small shape (Steinbock,
2005). The phone has a back display screen that enables the users to the phone
access the information as the data, time and the incoming calls. The mobile
phone also had the capabilities and functionalities of a calculator. The
calendar and the stopwatch capabilities. The phone was designed using the Micro
TAC technology (Frohberg, et al…, (2009). The globetrotting phone was the
designer by Motorola to incorporate the functionality that enables the end user
of the device to access locations. The globetrotting mobile has the inbuilt
Global System for Mobile Communications (GSM) using for identifying the
location of the end user. The mobile phone device uses the satellite technology
to provide the user with data and information about the geographical location.
The satellite phone allows transmission of the signals from the orbiting
satellite to the inbuilt satellite in the phone. The satellite phone provides
the application that enables the end user to access the location information.
Genesis to Revelation: Automotive
Technology
Mercedes
is the largest car manufacturers company; they pioneered their first car in
1901 whereby the car had the dedication to transportation. Throughout the
century, the car purpose remained transportation. However, from the year 1980’s
the transformation in the car applications got invented. The personal cars
acquired some elementary features of transporting goods (Baker, et al…, (2006).
The current car has complex and sophisticated appliances in technology. The
automotive industries have automated major applications in the vehicles. The
current personal cars have a multipurpose dashboard with simpler, friendly and
cognitive user interface. The dashboard has some embeddings like of making the
calls, the locations for DVD players and systems for streaming music and show
videos (Frohberg, et al…, (2009). The current cars have also embraced the
artificial intelligence technology where the vehicles can detect dangers and
warn drivers before occurrence of danger. Similarly automated vehicles of the
present can park themselves as well as providing security safety of air bag in
case of accident shock.
The
technology is highly advancing with the focus of the Google inventing the
driverless car. The researchers focus on making the fully connected car that
provides full communication to the driver, the passengers and other vehicles
(National Research Council et al…,
(2012). The developers indulge at making the universal car in the
situation such as incorporating mobile phone features in the phone by embedding
the Bluetooth technology in the vehicle dashboard. The cars can combine
multiple functions apar6t from the initial objectives. The mobile Bluetooth
shall facilitate voice calls and other forms of communications. The car
technology shall incorporate the integration of the smartphone applications
that enable the car user to control, manage and monitor the power status of the
car (National Research Council et al…, (2012). The current vehicle shall
improve the manual parking of the vehicles through the installation of the car
control mechanism that allows the remote control of the vehicle using the
smartphone. The car can get directed to the car park without user and steering
intervention. The modern car has the potential to receive signals that inform
the driver about the traffic jams, the road accidents, and study user and other
the vehicle complications and inform the car user (National Research Council et
al…, (2012).
The
car has acquired some key features like the inbuilt navigation capability
through the upgrading design applied by the manufacturers. The vehicles have
gone further in improving the decision-making approaches. The cars can suggest
the nearest restaurant, the available gas stations and the hotels. The cars
developed by the Ford Motor Company are implementing the link application
software that connects the Global Position Systems of the smarts phones to the
car dashboards to enable the car user to get the help of the Google map. The
current cars have continuously upgraded the mobile phones characteristics by
implementing the Wi-Fi hotspots. The vehicles get fitted with upgradable third
generation (3G) modems (Frohberg, et al…, (2009). The modems have the power to
connect the 150 feet devices. The major automotive industries have embraced the
Wi-Fi technology going further in upgrading the vehicles modems to fourth
generation (4G).
The great transformation of technology within
the car industry is the conversion of the cars into the social device. The
vehicle manufacturers fit the entertainment systems in the vehicle dashboard.
The cars get manufactured with audio systems and visual systems that have the
capability of playing the DVD, MP4 players and the MP3 players (Frohberg, et
al…, (2009). The social network applications also get applied to the vehicles.
The passengers have the capability to access the emails as well as the social
media networks among other entertainments.
Conclusion
The
modern cars are far behind the Fifth level generation (5G). The automotive
industries are yet to apply the robotic aspects in the vehicles to facilitate
the artificial intelligence. The major objective of buying cars is mainly to
facilitate movement from one region to another. However, the growth and
development of technology have induced computerized automation in the
automotive industry. The future promises
that the vehicles shall assume dynamic application and solve several operations
conducted by the end users.
