Coca-cola uses advertisement as a way to appeal and engage their consumers and Coke 2012 Commercial: "Catch" starring NE Bear was aimed at those people who like drinking Coca-Cola. The company’s appeal to the personal character of the brand is palpable in each of its advertisements. With this commercial, it is effective as it makes viewers laugh and also relate to 2012 super bowl with polar bear tackling one another so that to catch a Coca-Cola bottle. The viewers can relate the ad to Super Bowl seeing how the polar bears are trying to catch a bottle. With this ad, it makes the drink more refreshing and creates the need to want to have a drink.

Coca-cola has used three types of appeal including logos, ethos, and pathos. Ethos is the appeal to ethics and is a means of convincing one of the characters or the credibility of the persuader. Coca-Cola is a credible and well-known company and also well known for making the most popular sodas in the world. Pathos is an appeal to emotion and involves a way of convincing the audience through the emotional response. Coca-Cola is well known to use pathos, and in this ad, it makes viewers laugh and feel excited seeing the polar bears tackling one another to catch the bottle. It feels enjoyable to see the bears try hard so that to catch the coca cola bottle. Logic means to appeal to reason or logic and aims to persuade through an argument. There are limited logos at the end showing the word “open happiness” that means that when you open a coca-cola bottle, it creates the feeling of happiness.
